What Should I Do?

What You Should Do Depends Upon What You Believe

Take the actions that are consistent with what you believe to be true.

God's Word Declares that:

1) God Has a Claim Upon Your Life by Right of Creation

He "owns the copyright" to you!  God made you.  You did NOT make yourself.  The 100th Psalm follows:

1 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.

Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

3 Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

So, YOU belong to God because He CREATED You.

2) God Has a Claim Upon Your Life by Right of Redemption

God not ONLY Created YOU, he Redeemed YOU.  He BOUGHT you and it was with a GREAT PRICE.  How enormously does God LOVE you?  He loves you SO MUCH that He sacrificed the life of his one and only Son for you.

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

(John 3:14-18)

What Came Between God and Man?

Isaiah 59:1-2 KJV ~ Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: but your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

John 3:16 is surely the most famous verse in the New Testament, but it is unfortunate that people don't read the whole chapter, book and Bible.

You learn in John 3:18 that apart from repentance and faith, you are PRESENTLY in danger - a state of CONDEMNATION.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

3) You Will Be Forgiven of Your Sins IF you Repent of them.

You stand condemned because of sins you have committed against a Holy God.  That Holy God has provided the ONLY solution for you - by the sinless, sacrificial death and resurrection of His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ.

God paid your sin debt by the voluntary sacrifice of Jesus Christ in your place.

ACCEPT IT & HIM

Accept Christ's sacrifice for you and accept Him as your Lord and Savior.

8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
